Job Redesign

Introduction

Employers, are you struggling to help your employees with disabilities integrate into and adapt to the workplace? You can assist your employees through various methods, such as improving accessible environments for employees with physical disabilities, providing assistive devices like audio navigation systems or magnifiers for employees with visual impairments, or arranging sign language interpretation for employees with hearing or speech impairments. Additionally, you can request on-site evaluations and improvement recommendations from job redesign expert teams commissioned by the Workforce Development Agency. Through enhancements to work environments, equipment, conditions, assistive devices, and adjustments in work methods, this thoughtful service offers subsidies of up to NT$100,000 per person annually. These efforts enable employees with disabilities to overcome workplace barriers and realize their full potential.

Legal Basis

In accordance with Article 37 of the People with Disabilities Rights Protection Act, labor authorities at all levels are required to establish plans to implement vocational counseling and assessment, job redesign, and entrepreneurial guidance as per Article 33, Paragraph 2 of the Act, independently or in collaboration with private sector resources.

Objective

Through subsidies for job redesign and professional consultation services, the program effectively assists individuals with disabilities in overcoming workplace barriers, enhancing work performance, and integrating professional organizations, groups, and related units. This collective effort aims to promote successful employment and expand job opportunities for individuals with disabilities, thereby fulfilling the mission of employment services for people with disabilities.
